Launch of Autumn Asta#Plays Early Years Music

Published on 4 September 2026 at 10:32

It's the middle of the summer holidays which means it's time to start getting ready for school! Or in this case, pre-school. The new programme for Wiltshire Creative Take Part is published and taking bookings NOW!

Music is so much more than singing songs! Research shows that regular, high-quality musical experiences can support children's development in many different ways.

Fun, play-based sessions help children to:

  • 🎵 Develop speech and language through singing, rhymes and listening.
  • 📚 Build pre-literacy skills, including rhythm, rhyme, memory and sound awareness.
  • 🤝 Grow social skills by taking turns, sharing and making music together.
  • ✋ Strengthen fine and gross motor skills through movement, actions and instruments.
  • 💃 Improve coordination, balance and body awareness with music and movement.
  • 🌈 Boost confidence, creativity and self-expression in a supportive environment.
  • 👂 Develop listening, concentration and early learning skills through engaging musical play.
  • 🎼 Nurture a lifelong love of music with a specialist early years music practitioner.

Autumn Term Course

  • 5-week courses (September–December)
  • Tuesday mornings
  • £35 for all 5 sessions

Come and discover just how much children can learn, grow and thrive through music!
