I am incredibly excited to announce that Sing#Inn will be coming to Salisbury in the near future! After crawling around several pubs in the soggy, wet, historic town, some of those renowned for supporting musical ventures have been in touch.
The "not choir" pub sing-a-long is something I am keen to develop so that adults who may feel out of their depth in a traditional choir setting may experience vocal brilliance, all in the comfort and secure space of their trusty pub (I'm certain a couple of pints will help with confidence, too!). Live music is thriving in certain areas of the UK, but for the amateur who does not have the self assurance or skillset to perform at open mic nights, for those who don't have the time or inclination to commit to weekly rehearsals, and for those to whom karaoke seems a bit too daunting, there is little on offer in terms of active music making. By introducing Sing#Inn, I hope to instill a new sense of community achievement, and introduce the joy of group music making to the non-inducted, as well as enjoy some drinks in the local boozers!
